A/C off with defroster

I remember a post at the "club" about not being able to shut the A/C off when the front defroster was on. I just tried to shut the a/c off and it let me. Is everyone elses TSX the same way?

I think it does let you, or maybe it is still on you just don't know it.

i hope so

Mine is on order for autumn delivery.

My wife has a '02 CR-V - great motor, especially at high rpm - but the auto defrost/AC thing sucks. They apparently do it to lubricate the AC bearings, but IMO it should be optional to turn it off. It isn't. It reminds me of those crappy demestic cars that automatically lock the doors when the car is putin gear, and then require you to unlock them ater. Bogus - just like clubtsx.

Believe it or not, some people love that auto-locking feature. I personally find it annoying.

I don't know why you would want your doors lock while your in the car...

Unless, you're in a screwed up neighborhood. Most cars, you can just open the door without unlocking from the inside.

What I dont like about the tsx is that if by chance i have locked the doors while im driving, when i unlock the car and take the key out the doors dont automatically unlock.
common sense should tell the designers "if he's taking his keys out, he wants to get out of his car"

Tested it last night, with the defrost on you can manually turn off the AC by hitting the ac toggle button

My dads Mercedes does that and its in no way a demestic car.Once you begin driving over about 10 mph all the doors lock, but when you put the car in park all the doors unlock.I guess its a safety feature so kids cant open the doors while the car is moving.
