Brighter better Festoon LED

For those who want brighter LED for your interior, try these

I tried all kind of LED, even the 9 led one. This is like twice as bright as the 9 LED that most of you have. Trust me, it's even brighter than the stock bulbs. I have them on my car right now, and they are super BRIGHT.

Those bulbs are $10 each. Some LEDs for the dome light tend to stay on even if the switch is in the off position. If these bulbs don't do that and they are bright as the OEM bulbs they might be worth it.

I pulled the 6 leds 3022 bulbs from my car because I couldn't stand the dim light they emit when I have them in the off position.

I notice that too, when you switch to the OFF position, I think there is still some power going through the bulbs. The LED requires less power to turn on, that's why you see a little dim light on them. If you have the switch on the Door position, then you will not see any light

I would hope they are brighter than the stock bulbs I paid $5 bucks each for my 9led festoon bulbs and I doubt those are twice as bright...I am also trying not to bling myself if I use my map lights.

I dont have the issue with them staying on, that is something that a lot of LEDs have an issue with. Bascially, LEDs can be powered by just about anything and they are very adaptive to any electical current. Kind of like LED flash lights, you can put in 3 batteries or 9 and they adjust in brightness to the power supply. Any current whatsoever can cause some type of beam from them. So basically, what the other two posters said

So, they also make this bulb in 6LED front & back...

Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to run this instead? I imagine it would light up the housing as well as just shining down.

So, if I were going to do these in my car, I would want 3, right? 2 map lights plus rear dome light?

At $10 each (or $12 each for the double-sided), well, those are some pretty crazy prices for just LEDs. Any chance it could be TOO bright?

Looks like i was wrong, they are different LEDs in them, never mind.

the double sided one is "high flux" LEDs and the single sided 6 (original post) is "super large high flux" LEDs

Someone please teach these people better english.

btw $40 for 4 bulbs seems like a rip off. I spent $30 to replace all interior lights from superbrightleds.com.

It doesn't matter how little wattage the LEDs use. In the off position why would you have any current running thru them?

I also have 9 LEDs bulb which are polarized (vs 6 LEDs which are non-polarized)and I don't have the dimming problem in the off position with these bulbs.

I know the prices are too high, but you can't find these kind of LEDs at superbrightleds or anywhere else. He does have cheaper LED at lower price too.

These new 6 LEDs are different kind of led. They come in square shape, more brighter and bigger, not the cheap typical LED that you would normally get.

they wouldn't lower the price, but I decided I don't want bright ones on the front, so all I need is for the rear.

btw, do we need 1 or 2 for the rear?

One bulb for the rear, two in front.

I did my replacement with superbright leds and they are awesome. On the parking lights at the front of the car I am using the 3W led. Is there a brighter option for a 194 type bulb in the LED design
