You waited 14 minutes before coming to the conclusion that no one wants to help? I just got home from work. Anyway, I'm sure someone can chime in with the details you need. I don't put on enough miles on my car, so I won't be needing to do this for a while (hence I don't have the specs for you)

Although, I do believe there was a post about this within the last 6 months I think.

should I buy those fluid and ask local shop to do it for me or do you think i should go with dealer route since its so expensive to go with the dealership route.

they also recommend me to do a top engine oil flush and air filter.

man those acura's know how to rip car freak's off. haha

Acura wants you to use ATF-Z1, 2.9L/3.1Q for fluid change or 6.5L/6.9Q for overhaul (Difference is due to the torque converter...basically no way to drain it on the vehicle)

They want Acura DOT 3 Brake Fluid, no volume/capacity specified for brake system.

The ATF-Z1 should be about $6-7 a quart (you'll need four...), who the heck knows on the brake fluid. It really shouldn't be that much, but...

So I will need 2 Bottle of Acura DOT 3 Brake Fluid for the brake.

And I need 4 quart of ATF-Z1 AT transmission fluid from acura

1 quart = 1 bottle?

can I buy those in Honda will it be cheaper or only in Acura?

Thank You Very Much Guys

Atf

I just did my ATF service today. One drain and fill will require 3 quarts. (1 bottle = one quart). The ATF cost me about $6.50/quart + tax from my local Honda dealer. My local Acura dealer wanted more. I actually did 2 drain and fill cycles so I used 1/2 a case (6 bottles). Hope that helps.

Did you do it yourself?

How often do you change your ATF?

Yes, I did it myself.

I was going to do it at 60K miles but after reading a few threads on here I decided to do it at 30K mi. Also, I don't put a lot of mile on my car so I decided to do it now as I'm approaching 4 years. It was rather straightforward, the most difficult part was removing the plastic cover under the engine to get access to the drain bolt.

For what its worth... the old ATF looked a little darker than the fresh ATF (but not like the sludge that has been reported) and I can't say that the shifting got much smoother (It was fairly smooth to begin with and I may have imagined any improvement).

You need to remove the plastic cover to get access. With the cover removed look for the lowest point on the transmission. The drain bolt is just to the side of that lowest point and faces the passenger side. I used a 3/8" (I think) ratchet. Note that the bare ratchet drive fits directly into the bolt. You don't need a socket.
