New TSX with 1000 miles. Recently started hearing an unusual metallic noise at low speeds (less than 5mph) and even more pronounced in reverse. It sounds as if a piece of metal is dragging across the pavement, but goes away after acceleration.

Took it to Acura and they said it's a normal sound. That the brake pads/calipers and rotors are just adjusting during this break-in period.

Any one else have this same issue or have any suggestions?

 

My car does this all the time while the brakes are cold. As they warm up, the noise goes away.

Yeah, just noticed it this weekend. As long as it doesn't ratlle, I guess I can live with it.

 

mine sound horrible alot. It makes me worry sometimes...... And even now when i brake to a stop, my struts or something pops making a clunking sound. Cant figure out what it is.

 

Has anyone else taken their TSX to the dealer asking about this brake noise? If so, what reason and/or fix were you given?

 

I just posted the same problem with my 2005 6MT. Any resoultions yet? Please comment.
