So I finally have had my strike three with bad things happening to me. Some one backed into my car while it was parked in a drive way and dented my passenger front fender, scratched the door up and broke my mirror. Does any one from Plainfield, Joliet, etc, IL know of a good body shop to fix my car? I have used one in Plainfield on my other car and was not impressed of their work. I plan to keep this car for the next 5 years so I want the paint job to last and look good. So I hope this is the last of my bad luck. Thanks for the help.

 

I know a great place in Palatine. Of course thats no where near Plainfield.

 

There's an actual Acura Auto Body Shop by Libertyville. I took my car there after someone backed into my car at a parking lot. They only had to replace my bumper so I can't give much feedback. I just rather have my car fixed by an Acura dealer than some no name body shop.

Go to Maaco or Gerber where my friend went. They do good body work on both.

 

I was rear ended this past winter and took my TSX over to Reppo's Body Shop in Romeoville. They are located just south of I55 on route 53. They did a very professional job. The work was done over a 4 day period. My wife also had some work done on her Jeep and was also very pleased with the results.

 

Thanks for the info. I will have to check out Reppo's this weekend. Has any one heard of the type of work Auto Body Unlimited in Downers Grove does? Acura of Westmount and Naperville both recommended them.

Back in 02 when i had RSX i went there to get estimate for fender issue and quoted me more than 1000. One of rep. told me that they may have to repaint the hood, bumber in order to match the paint or something..

So I went different place and got it fixed for under 300 bux

 

Very true. I wasn't sure if OP gonna claim insurance for this but I did when someone hit my bumper. Only a few scratches but they end up replacing my bumper with a new one because they were too lazy to remove my clearbra. I didn't care since insurance paid for it.

 

I also have a clear bra on mine so we will see how the insurance likes that one. It sucks how they blend the paint on other body parts that were not damaged. Then clear coat over that.

 

There might be an upcoming meet soon. Early May, keep a look out in the "meet section". We want to have plenty of TSX's there.
