automatic tranny question

Everytime when my car shift from 1-2 the car seems to jerk a little. it doesnt really jerk but the transition is not smooth. I can really feel the tranmission changing gears from 1-2 but the rest of the gear's are not really noticable. Me and my passenger's upper body would thrust forward a little when it changes. Somewhat hard to explain but anyone else notice this?

Yeah, it's not the smoothest transition ever, but I got used to it. It's not as bad if you go easy on the gas to accelerate.

It is a little more noticeable than the other speeds, but it shouldn't be something that is very noticeable/annoying.

Perhaps have the dealer check it out if it's worrying you?

I guess it also depends which car you're coming from. Was your last car's transmission very smooth?

no need to bring to dealer if you guys also have to deal with this....

i still have my old car which is a 88 civic, the transmission on that car is very smooth, cant really feel the gears change. its the original tranny and it has 132k on it. I dont like how these new trannies are designed, the older ones are definetly better imo. Last night i saw my RPMS drop to 1k when i let off the gas on the highway, dunno why it did that. Also, when it gets to lower speeds such as 2-5 mph it fiddles around with the gears causing it to jerk a little. Do you guys know what i mean?
