Owners' manual has it in there, but since I'm nice: Push.

but the manual says on "no.3 remove the side tabs by carefully prying them out with a screwdriver, then pivot the glove box out of the way." i'll try both but im scared im might loosen things and create rattles

Sorry I thought you meant the tabs on the filter itself...

For the glovebox, those side tabs are a bit of a pain. I used my spare housekey as I had it lying around. IIRC, there is a small "lip" on both of those tabs. Get the screwdriver under there and kinda pry/twist... it should work for you.

Guys, are there any difference on different brand (material wise?) of acc cabin filters?
I went to look on www.autopartswarehouse.com and I saw 3 different brands of filters for the TSX.

Thanks

Do a search on the part no.: 80290-SEC-A01

Hope these help you in your search.
American Honda is ripping off the TSX owners:

The correct part number the the cabin filter is:
80292-SDA-A01

The TSX version costs $36.80
and the accord version only costs $17, difference of $19.80. Both are OEM.

So just order it from manhonda.com or hondaacuraworld.com with the above part number to SAVE $$$$$.

I don't think there are major differences. Looks like simply 3 different brands.

At those prices, plus shipping, you'd be better off getting the Cabin Filter for the 2003+ Accord. Same as the TSX one, much cheaper (in the US, anyhow... here in Canada they're the same price @ $33.16 each)
