air and cabin filter

Does anyone here know the cheapest place to get an air and cabin filter? I plan on replacing them in the car myself since the dealer charges $70 for a cabin filter and $40 for the air filter. Thanks in advanced guys and gals.

*guess the name is blocked or something.

I'm hoping to find out if HandA is carrying it or not.

the cabin filter is only 20 + Shipping. Email one of the acura dealers selling oem tsx parts on ebay, they'll have it all. That's the price I got.

The owners manual explains how to replace the filter. You shouldn't need any tools to do this. Maybe a flathead screwdriver.

You don't even need a screwdriver. All you need are 2 hands.

once you've done an initial cabin filter change, the tabs on the glove box aren't as tight. So you won't need any tools to get in there.

For the telescopic damper, it is not pull. You have to push instead.

Speaking of which, I thought these filters was supposed to prevent stuff like the exhaust fumes of that diesel truck in front of you from getting in? I smell it clearly in my '06. Is this a malfunction or is it the way it is? I forget if I'm thinking of the right vehicle that had this.

thx

You need cabin filter with carbon layer which is not available in OEM form. Not sure if you can make one to fit inside.

For the Canadians: I researched with a few Honda dealers and both Acura dealers in the area, and the price for both the Acura TSX 04-06 cabin air filter, and for the Honda Accord 03+ cabin air filter, was $33.16 + tax.

No difference in price, both labelled as Honda air filters.

So, whatever is closer (acura or honda dealer), get it from there.
