air bleeder for coolant

air bleeder for coolant

does anyone know where is the air bleeder for TSX ? i plan to install a block heater myself, i was wondering if there are any special thing about TSX and other Honda in regard on coolant flush... any help would be appreciated!!! thanks!

I don't believe the TSX has a bleeder. Just fill up the radiator as much as possible and add a little extra in the coolant recovery bottle. Leave radiator cap open. Squeeze the upper radiator hose to expel air (you will see bubbles). Add more coolant to radiator as needed. Tighten radiator cap and let it thermo cycle until fan turns on. Let cool and check coolant recovery bottle. Add coolant to recovery bottle as needed.

thanks JTso!! i was worry no coolant in engine jacket after i drain the coolant and cause uneven heat after i start up engine. if there is no bleeder, can i park the car in a slop so the front end is at high point to assist bleed the air out? and how does cold coolant pass through thermostat and into engine after refill?? thanks.

No need to park on a slope for the air to get out. Coolant enters the engine via the upper radiator hose. The thermostat is connected to the lower hose.
