Not sure if anyone else noticed but...

If you guys go to the "Interactive Showroom" @ Acura.com, go to "Under the hood" and check out the TSX engine bay and mess around a little in there by clicking on the "feature highlights" button, one of the little bullet-factoids point out an optional 210-hp Type-S Engine... is this a little peak to the future of the TSX? A 10-hp gain?

 

by that logic, the rsx has led tail lights and the TSX has an overhead moonroof control . It's not happening.

 

I didn't find anything about an optional 210-hp engine in here...

 

Its probly linking over to the 05 RSX Type-S somehow.

You have to click on Exterior Showroom->Under The Hood and then click on Engine Closeup and the little hour glass to display items. Perhaps it was a typo. When you click on the item the sound says something different.

More than that, even. People have been getting 10-12 at the wheels.

 

Must be something wrong with their site because it says "Low Emission Vehicle" where it refers to Type-S on yours. Tried it again and still don't get the Type-S either.

 

the interactive showroom is all messed up, or the designers are really lazy. in the rsx interactive showroom, it says the car has led tail lights and bi-xenons, which is wrong. it obviously refers to the new tl. the 210hp refers to the refreshed rsx type-s. you really think if there was a tsx type-s would only have 10hp over a base?

 

you should know better. if you can only see this information in a certain area, it's obviously wrong. if i'm coming off as an ass or something, it's because i don't want people to get worked up over nothing.

 

i am gonna sue acura for that 10hp...its false advertising...haha...my 2004 did not have the type-s option available...

At one point, when it said auto open and close sunroof, I thought it actually does it. So, I went out to my car and tried it....no freakin auto...had to hold down the button. I was happy there for a moment! Sooooo misleading.

 

Yeah one of the things i miss about my CTS, it had the nice turn knob style euro sunroof switch which allowed you to easily open the sunroof to any position and vent with a quick flick instead of dicking around with a poorly placed button the left of the steering wheel

 

I bet you an Acura rep reads this site and notified the webmaster right away.

 

The '05 Type S does add 10 extra HP to the 2.0L. The base RSX still has 160HP vs. 210 HP for the Type S. The most noticable change is in the headlights & tails - looks more Civic-ish to me. Glad we got our '04 this year.

the first day the 05 rsx was on the website i spent like an hour looking at it....i was so surprised when i read "High Intensity Discharge Headlamps" so i told everyone and then the next day it was gone! thats all that car is missing


edit: i also read the auto open/close switch for the sunroof on the interactive showroom for the TSX lol
