I would not expect anything to take the place of the RSX until 2008 models roll out.
For the 2008 model year, I think the new TSX will be offered in coupe and sedan format. With the sedans coming out first and the coupe a bit later.

If TSX does come out with a '08 Coupe i'm gonna be trading in my current Sedan. I just like the 2 door more than 4 door. Of course seeing it will have it's engine upgrade to i4 turbo that will make my decision alot easier.

I'd love a coupe. Their larger doors make it easier for me to stow and deploy my wheelchair from the car. Also, a turbocharged engine would be cool, I hope Hondata has cracked the K series ECU's completely by then though.
Edit: The RSX has been discontinued due to the new Civic Si being competitive with it. Acura allegedly wants to go for a more luxurious angle and leave the bulk of the boy racer market to Honda.

The RSX being discontinued was no surprise. It has become long in the tooth.
As for the TSX coupe, no official channels have revealed a TSX coupe being worked on, but there seems to be a lot of "info" coming through the dealer channels that there is a great deal of interest in a TSX coupe. I'm not holding my breath, but if it happens, I will definitely be in line to get one.
Regardless, looking forward to the new RDX drivetrain going into a lighter weight TSX body frame.

However, it is not supposed to be a TSX coupe.

I bought my TSX specifically because it was a sedan. Already have an Accord coupe and it's a pain in the butt to get in and out of for anyone.
The TSX needs more power, hands down. That was one thing that nagged at me for the past couple of years, but I figured I'd give her a go and hope she's at least as fast as my Accord.

Summer is Coming
From Vtec...
"New Coupes Coming? An interesting rumor that we keep hearing from Acura's sales side is that to fill the gap left by the RSX, Acura has a coupe under development, most likely based upon the RSX's larger brother, the TSX. We have heard about this coupe for quite some time but so far this rumor has only been circulating within the sales side. While it seems like a logical move for Acura, this information has not been "triangulated" so at this point we don't have a high degree of certainty on this information. As soon as we do, we'll be sure to let you know. ..."
Certainly nothing definitive there. Doesn't make sense to bring out a 2-dr version of a car one year before a complete re-design. And I don't think there is a 2-dr version fo the euro accord to base it on. But in 08 with the new body style I can definately see how a 2-dr would replace the RSX as the affordable Acura 2-dr.

I think this news sucks!!!! I always like seeing the RSX on the road. It made me feel like its the bad little brother to my TSX. Especally the type-S. So long, I'll probably buy one in two years. I like the 1st gen rsx. Love the headlights

I'm still partial to high-displacement RWD muscle cars with stump-pulling torque, but anything would be better than FWD. The only time I actually enjoy it is in the snow.

Ok that's just completely idiotic. Why are they designing a coupe that LOOKS like it should be a next gen tsx coupe, slap an acura symbol on it (top pic only), and have it resemble nothing of the previous S2000. Design people really drive me crazy.

I really don't like the new "modern" look that Honda is coming out with (RDX, Civic, Accord, concept MDX). It's like they are trying to make it look like the Infinity...which is a knock off of the Porsche. If I wanted a car that looks like that I'd just buy that car. That said I am glad I bought the 03 MDX and 06 TSX... But that is just my own opinion.
