I have mine usually during the week, fits great. As long as you roll it up when you take it off the car it literally takes a minute to put on. It has an "Acura TSX" logo on the front, pockets for mirrors, cable lock, bag, and is a very thick.

I personally love mine and since they are doing construction around my apt it really keeps it nice.

Also, purchased mine from Curry Acura in NY for something like $175 and it was shipped very quickly.

I have the OEM car cover from Acura, and I can tell you that it's such a snug fit that there is very little chance of it scratching your car even in strong wind. The bottom has elastic bands that fit perfectly around the front and rear bumpers. Think of it as a snugly fit bed cover. In addition, the cover has a softer underside that will somewhat protect against scratches. Of course, it's not a fullproof prevention (nothing is), but I have confidence that I won't see scratches when I take it off.

I second this.....it is really tight. Additionally, I never put the car cover on unless it has been washed recently (within the past day). I also plan on hosing it off this Spring on the underneath and allowing it to dry for a few days to remove any buildup of dirt or other contamination.

Thanks to all for the excellent replies…they helped…I noticed H and A accessories has them for about the same as Curry….I am hopeful the cover will help some with hail in our spring hail prone area…

I’m thinking of getting this cover too. However, on the weekdays it doesn’t move and on the weekends is when I drive it. Let’s say a storm rolls in on weekday, should I take it off or can I keep it on? There’s always that factor of moisture being trapped in between the car and cover…

uummmm.....The point of the cover is to protect it against "nature"

You'd leave it on. Not 100% sure, but my guess is that the cover is water resistant. Unless you had the rain that "seemed to come straight up" (<--read like Forrest Gump) your car won't get wet

I've heard of outdoor and indoor covers (don't ask, there are people that make and buy weird things). If i could touch and feel the acura car cover it would make my buy decision much easier.

The car cover is NOT water resistant. It is actually porous to allow heat to escape during the summer months. Thus, it does not keep your car dry during a storm.

I'm not sure why you think it'd be bad to leave the cover on during a rain storm anyway. It's water, not acid...although I suppose there is the possibility of acid rain ....

if the water gets trapped between the cover and car won't it damage the paint. similar to taking a hot shower and not have a way of exhausting the moisture will cause the paint to bubble.

Is it thick enough on the sides to prevent door dings?

It is a rather thick cover, it probably could stop some door dings. At most you can count on it to protect your paint.

Curry Acura on ebay has them for $165 + $11 shipping. I sent them a private message and asked if they could package a deal for the car cover and trunk tray. Came back to me with $245 with the shipping included. I'm waiting for it to get delivered now

Since this could be too stupid of a question to start one, I'll revive an old related thread.

I just ordered a Covercraft (the big Block-it/Evolution/Technalon one). From everything I could research, it seemed to be thickest (even suggests light hail protection). My primary use, when it gets here, will be nights like this where storms with hail will be coming through-- to at least give the car a fighting chance (I also tuck it under the house opposite of storm direction so it's about 1/2 covered by the awnings-- I'm getting good at parallel parking it inches from the house!).

Anyway-- I know you're supposed to only put them on when the car's clean to avoid scratching... My question is, does it have to be dry? Would that matter any since rain could get through it anyway? I wondered as we don't always have proper conditions to wash/dry the car before covering it before a storm.
