Talking ? about fees

Well it looks like I've gotten a dealer to accept my offer of 28,400 for a CG/ebony/auto/nav (with all season mats, and trunk tray). Now, what gets tacked on top of that.....tax, license and ? Is the destination fee included in the price? any other charges? I'm assuming the tax will be around 9% and I've looked up WA liscense fee ($85).

BTW, thanks to the people on this site who I've gleamed info from about how to successfully purchase a car. Its been hassle free and I feel like I've been in control of the whole situation.

Soon to be owner!!

...title fees (if you're buying), and any dealer processing/handling fees. My dealer charges a flat $245 (or something like that) for all purchases. It's a pain, but not enough to make a big deal out of. Destination charge should be included on the (total) sticker price. The cost of a TSX+Navi+destination = $28,990. Then you add on your tax/tag/title/fees/etc.

Here in California our extra fees amount to about 12% (Tax and Lic.). Your lovely 28,400 TSX turns out to cost almost 32,000. Don't feel too bad about 9%. It could be worse.

In the state of Alabama, the sales tax is 8% but on the sales tax for autos is only 3.39%!

Check to see if there's a separate sales tax for autos vs. normal merchandise.

I don't know about "Daleware" , but it's 0% in Oregon too. Too bad you can't just go there to buy cars! (you still have to pay home state's sales tax).

Ask your dealer for a Deal Review Sheet. It's a computer printout with your figures on it. He can print it in five minutes or so. It shows _all_ the fees and out-the-door price.

My Deal Review Sheet shows the agreed-upon price, plus Doc Fee ($45), Sales Tax (8.25%), License ($216), Gov't Fees ($5), and total GRANDE.

Note: the destination fee is always included in the agreed upon price!

WATCH for dealer pack scams, like advertising fees, association fees, "Dealer Fees", Prep and Cleaning Fees. The Honda and Toyota dealers in my area are notorious for packing, packing, packing. The Acura dealer from whom I am buying my TSX has been clear and honest and is not packing the tab.
