2008 G35 coupe

I know we have discussed this before with 2008 models, but I just got my '08 dealer broch. for the Infin coupe. Its been lightened up so its less than the sedan (finally) but is also getting a more powerful engine that will produce 330hp, along with slight body line changes and a new interior. Looking at this thing, I have to agree with C/D and MT, the base is 35K, and there is nothing in that price range that will keep up with the prelim numbers Nissan/Inf. is putting out. They have the twin turbo 335I beat by about 10K in price and with 0-60 times, etc.

I am intrigued by this, but the downside is its a Nissan. Man I hope Acura/Honda gets their sh*t together for the 09 TSX or its bye bye Acura.

As much as I want a V-6 or turbo option, I sometimes like going to the pump and putting in 12 gallons for +325 miles traveled. With gas prices reaching another all time high ($2.99 to $3.19 for the good stuff in NM), I'm kinda happy with the 205hp I-4.

I have a buddy at work that purchased a new G35 and 18-20 combined mpgs is his norm on a good week of commuting.

yeah, G37 I knew I left off that. Its under general discussion. Just like any time any comparisons to new 2008s are discussed. Like the last one that said 2008 new models..etc. but whatever

Yeah, thats the other issue is the fuel prices, that isnt a concern for me currently with my commute, but I agree, I love putting in half a tank of gas sometimes and still running for a week before re-fueling.

I would just like the sedan to be a little more competative with other sports sedans with HP in the future, as I am not in need of another 2 seater, that spot is taken. Some of the Audis and even the ugly Saabs are putting out good HP gains with almost the same MPG as the current TSX. A turbo 4 would be great, or a NA v6 that gets the accord type MPG.

I thought I was in the right area when I posted it, but I had two windows open with this forum, so I guess not.

On my list of important things, I forgot to add posting making sure every single post I do on a public internet board is in the right spot so. One out of 300+ posts...guess we all cant be perfect. I am sure the Mods will move it when they choose to or if they do, or whatever. In the mean time, you seriously have to have something better to do than police an errand post...or maybe not

Can't I fawkin sleep?

Unfortunately we can't move threads between sections. But feel free to start another thread in Car Talk. Although you may want to search as I'm pretty certain there has already been a G37 coupe thread or two.

Thanks

This does belong in Off Topic / Car Talk. Unfortunately, we can't move it across forums so please repost it there if you want to continue the discussion. TSX forum is for TSX talk.
