2007 TSX - Engine Splash Shield
2007 TSX - Engine Splash Shield
The snow storms of 2014 have compromised my engine splash shield.
Does anyone know where I can purchase one at reasonable price? On eBay it seems they only have it for the 2004 TSX. Is OEM my only option? I guess it would help if I knew the part number also
. Thanks for your help.

Define reasonable. Part number is 74111-SEC-A00, and that's the whole cover, including the rivets (I think). Delray (acuraoemparts.com) sells it for $89.08 (list price is $118.77), shipping and handling is $12, so $101 total. My guess is that price is probably available at any number of on line suppliers (they tend to be quite competitive), though if you search around, you might be able to save a few bucks on shipping. You could try your dealer to see if they'll match that (though there's no sales tax on line). I've never seen, heard of, or read of, an option to the OEM part. Long shot would be a salvage yard (of which the big ones tend to have web sites).
Curry Acura (http://www.curryacuraparts.com/index.html) has the part for $92.65/shipped

I actually trimmed mine this winter, it was warped around the oil pan due to heat. Hanging low, not broken though. So I cut the back half of it off essentially

Engine Splash Shield, possibly the most annoying thing on these cars. It's filled with snow in the winter and hangs down like sagging tits. Got rid of it at my first oil change, now I can actually see if there are any oil/fluid leaks.
I've never found any snow in either of the two 1st gen TSX's that I've serviced over the last almost 9 years now, and we get plenty of snow (and all the sand, salt, and shitty slush that goes with it). Enough dirt already gets through there with the pan on, so I can't imagine how crappy the underside and the engine compartment would be without it. It is a pain in the ass at times, but I'd never consider going without it. As with everything though, to each their own.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
This is the part number 74111-SEC-A00 and hardware code is
20 91503-SZ3-003, which will require two packs.
I found it $85.51 (74111-SEC-A00) @ bernardiautogroup.com]
