Looks like a little confusion between the TL and the TSX to me.

As featured in the September 2006 edition of Motor Trend, they write:

WHAT'S NEW : With the RSX dropped for 2007, the TSX becomes the de facto entry-level Acura and gains a tire-pressure monitor in the process. As ever, this high-content/high value sport sedan comes fully loaded with everrything from leather upholstery to HID headlamps - and your option choices remain limited to colors, 6M/5A transmissions, and nav or not.

COOL FACT: The compact TSX shares common platform engineering with a slightly smaller, Europ-only version of hte current Honda Accord sedan.

SUM UP: Impressive Performer, Great Value

Whatever that website you have listed there says is wrong. As Motor Trend reports, the TSX isn't gaining anything more than a tire pressure monitor. Perhaps 2008 will be the year...

I would even go as far as to say, theres no reason why they would switch to a V6 and then drop the power output by 5HP

If anything, the v6 should be putting out 230-240HP with an upgrade like that. Even at that output, it wouldnt be competing with any of its big brother sedans.

Aluminum, 3.2-liter, 24-valve, 60-degree V-6 engine...

Inside the engine compartment of the Acura TSX resides a powerful yet obedient 3.4 liter 18 valve six cylinder engine which produces a respectable 200 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 166 LB-ft of torque at 4500 rpm.
i think this article is getting their specs mixed up...

lol they still have the non-type-S and type-S for 2007 TL

Sedan performance gets a whole new meaning with this car, and the new and improved 2007 Acura TL comes in two distinct versions - the 225-horsepower 2007 Acura TL and the 260-horsepower TL S-Type. While the improved 2007 Acura TL S Type rides on a stiffer suspension, the engines in both versions of this car offer the unique performance and the environmental benefits of Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control, and both have earned that all-important status as Low-Emission Vehicles.

A 3.2 with only 200hp would suck coming from Honda. Let's just ban together and keep urging Acura to put the turbo RDX motor in the TSX!

This thread should be locked. The only thing the 07's are getting is a tire pressure monitor which was already announced.

I just posted in the other thread that an Acura salesman has said that there has not been any "official" announcements made. Do car makers typically put this kind of info in an "official" press release on their websites?

As we all know..most salepeople are un-informed.

TSX
The TSX continues to be a hot seller for Acura, winning over customers who are looking for sporty performance, a stylish exterior and the latest in technology. Last year, the TSX was named to Car & Driver’s 10Best list for the third consecutive year.

After receiving several enhancements last year, the 2007 TSX receives the following safety upgrade for 2007:

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

But does this website even represent Acura?

The original article was submitted by someone only named "Jeff," and there is a "N/A" for the credibility rating. What is Acura PR? Acura corporate PR?

this site is probably the mecca for honda/acura enthusiasts. thier sources have been very reliable so far when it comes to model changes.

Here's the 2006 model changes they posted last year. Spot on.
