a lot.

1. Bluetooth - HUGE

2. Upgraded center console plastics - looks much nicer than the plain plastic in the earlier models.

3. Much nicer steering wheel.

4. Faster XM radio - older models take forever to switch channels.

5. Upgraded engine

6. 2006 exterior styling update with foglights.

7. 2006 Gauge Cluster is so much nicer and includes the MID.

8. Memory Seats are money!

9. IPOD hookup is extremely convenient, although it sucks that the cd player cannot read mp3/wma.

i recently used this deal on my new '06 TSX purchase.

i'm 24 goin on 25, obviously don't have a long credit history background however my credit is always ontime and in that regard i have good credit. i probably didn't technically qualify but i told the guy through our negotiations that it was a strong selling point for me. I went with the 60mo finance and got 4.9% apr.

fyi, the only difference in the 07 to the 06 that i'm aware of is tire pressure monitor guage.

That's because the question was "What does the 2006 have over the 2004?". The Tire Pressure Monitoring system was added for 2007, not 2006.

You should be able to get a good deal on a 2006 given that the 2007s are out already. the features of the '06 over the '04 (in my case BlueTooth, fog lights, more power) were well worth the money to me!

Sure all those things are great and a the 06-07 is a definite improvemnt over the 04/05 but its still essentially the same car.

And maybe I don't see it that way because up here I'd end up losing about 20K on that trade while you guys may only be out 10 or less. (on an 04)

Oh, and it makes no sense IMO to get the same car.

Yeah, the rims are a bit fugly at first, but when you learn that the new Enkeis are four-pounds lighter...well...it's like looking at porky chicks after a few beers! They look better.

Other things not mentioned:

-13 more horsepower when compared to the pre-SAE 2006 ratings
-larger throttle body
-higher flow cat
-all around improved exhaust flow

But its not worth trading your car in when the new '08 TSX is around the corner.

Yea, I'm waiting for the '08 or '09 to come out

Hopefully it's a significant step up from the current model (would have to be to trade in my '05 as I absolutely am in love with it).

I doubt the 2nd gen TSX will be significantly better than the 1st gen refresh. they might offer a hopped up version though (for alot more money)

And let's not forget that any next generation vehicle will possibly have issues that need to be worked out. It's likely the last year of production on the current generation will be more reliable than the first year of the next one.
