Question 2005 TSX Coming in Spring or Fall?

Ok, my lease on the 02 TL Type S w/ nav will be up in a few months and looking to buy or lease the TSX. If the 05 model is coming in the spring, then I will start planning for that and cut down on the negotiating for the 04. If it isn't, then I will move ahead full force on getting the 04 TSX Auto w/ nav.

I called a dealer today and they said that the 04 came out mid year or something as a special introduction and that the new one will come out in October of 04, not in April. I don't buy that because my 02 TLS came out in April of 01, and the 03 model I think came out around the same time the following year.

So bottom line, when do you think the 05 TSX will be coming out. Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

I actually got the inside scoop from a friend and confirmed the Aug/Sept delivery with no major changes. Well my next question is then regarding residuals. Don't they go down every month, and when they do, doesn't that make the monthly's go up. Therefore my payment on an o4 leased in April or may would be higher than if I leased the 05 TSX in Sept.

Again, I'm turning in an 02 TLS w/navi. So if that is the case, I could buy out my car and wait a few months, then trade it into the dealer and get a new 05 in Sept. Would does everybody think???

Theoretically, Acura would address some of the quality issues that lead to rattling. At least, I am hoping they do!

Residuals might go down slightly, but the discount you will be able to get on an 04 once the 05's come in will make up for it. It was hard to get Acura to budge more than $500 under MSRP (sticker price) for a long time, once the 05's hit, you will probably be able to pick up an 04 for $500-$1000 over invoice (dealer cost).

Thanks!

Any idea what the residual and factors are right now. Again, for a TSX w/ nav.

pdrca - if you negotiated the price of your TL before you signed the lease, and if it was a decent price, then i'd buy out the car at the end of the lease term. you could simply turn around and sell the car and make a couple thousand. it would take a bit of time and patience, but i think it's well worth it.

That is not a bad idea. I did negotiated the price of the car and it was $1300 below MSRP at the time. The residual value (or my buyout cost) is just under or right around the trade in value of the car. Residual was 60% when I got it which wasn't bad for lowering the monthly. I think I could make 2-4K by doing it on AutoTrader or something. It is simply a matter of wheather or not I want to go through that hastle. How long on average does it take and how many people does one show the car to before a sale is made. thanks for your reply.
