Is the '07 RDX Turbo4 the next TSX engine?

In case you haven't seen it yet here's the link to the new '07 RDX. Check out the Specs section for the 2.3L Turbo, 240HP @ 6000 rpm, 260 ft lbs. @ 4500 rpm, SH-AWD. I wonder if it would fit in my '04 TSX???

I dont know if having a turbo would be a good thing. Yes for performance but this will decrease reliability alot.

Honda has not offered a turbo car from the factory. I would not want to buy a turbo car from them. I think it takes years to perfect a good reliable engine with a turbo in it.

I would be more confident to purchase a Subaru, Volvo, or even Toyota that have/had turbos in the past with turboed engines that have been very reliable.

Also FWD car with a Turbo is a big no no in my book.

Part of me agrees with you. As for turbo experience think open wheel racing...

they haven't done AWD either and now they have a system that rivals Subaru, Mitsubishi and Audi. When Honda does technology they do it right

Gen 4 Prelude had AWD before.

EDIT:

NM... I was thinking AWS (All Wheel Steering)

Honda has been offering Turbo technology in their smaller JDM cars for years. And more recently they've been offering it with their diesel powerplant.

Its not like they just turn the page and offered it overnight.. turbo technology is not new. They probably have a whole division in some corner running test and designs all the time...

Did you think Apple just switch to intel over night ? no they had it running for over 5 years before making the switch..

AWD is the factor for me, the engine isn't going to get weaker, we know that from the HP wars going on. So when the time comes out of the TL, G35C, or TSX, whichever has AWD will be the one I purchase.

I would think that given this new combo there would be an increased demand for an MT version. Add to that an improved braking system and you've got close to the best of all worlds for sport driving. One question I do have would be the "new" price for all this. I think it would be hard to keep the TSX's current price point of >$30K.

honda's house developed turbos bought home the driver's and constructor's championships in the mid-80s, they have them in japan and euro diesel...so i'd say them know how to build them.

sadly, a K-series 2.3T will cost over the $30k range if it does come out for the TSX. but i can't wait to see it!!

If the engine will fit now the only issue is will i still be able to use my gauges, ac, and C/C with it. If I can then shit someone buy an RDX and wreck it so i can get the engine.

It has a couple things that I think are pretty neat... the accurate tire pressure monitor, and the sh-awd display. I don't know how useful these are, but I do like the interior's look.

If you are going to spend above 30k then you might as well get the EVO X. Unless they are very comparable. If Honda does put a K23 in the TSX they will be out around the same time.

The next TSX won't be an evo fighter, don't get your hopes up.
A modest power boost with AWD might give it a 6 second 0-60 time, but don't expect much more.

I really like the looks of the gauges in the RDX. Should be a sweet vehicle from what I've read on the specs & such. And I like that it's not huge in size and still gets decent gas mileage (for an SUV) with a turbo. I've never been an SUV person, but I think I like the RDX.

If the power boost is modest, AWD would make it slower... but a 6 second car is within reach I suspect.

I like the way the interior looks. No biggie on the nav system and the dash. Looks almost identical to the RL. Still nice though.

The 2006 JDM Accord has AWD optional. However, it's just AWD, not SH-AWD.
