06 TSX pricing

Well I'm still on the fence on what car to get. I was favoring the 325i and still like that car out of the entire list but the amount of repairs I see this car having is going to kill me even when I do most of the repairs myself. So that leaves me 3 cars to choose from. I have a 06 Accord EX cloth auto 25k miles for 15-15.5k, a new 09 Altima cloth 2.5S for 20k or a 06 Auto TSX non-navi. Keep in mind that I really am on the fence with the leather as the side of the seat shows a lot of wear even after 3 years. What would be a target price to get either a CPO or a non CPO with 25k-35k miles? KBB lists it at 21k.

Thanks for the input.

with navi you are looking around $18-19k.
without navi you are looking around $16-18k for a 2006.
with the CPO, you can add a bit to either price, or put it near the high end.
private sale would be near the low end.

p.s. stay away from that 325i.

2006 TSX's are expensive in the NYC area. Acura dealers want
$20,000-$21,000 for a CPO car with 20,000-25,000 miles.

How about a 2007 Accord LX-V6 for $15,500 if you do not like leather ? I have seen a few of them with 20,000-30,000 miles
in my area. They were CPO cars. 244hp engine.

Only problem with the LX is that it doesn't have a sunroof.

There is a moonroof on Accord LX's with Six cylinder engines. Also
17-inch alloy wheels.

They are $ 15,500. in NYC area with Certified Honda warranty.

^^ are you sure? If it's OEM I wonder what the incentive of buying a LX over an EX is (with all those things supposedly included in the LX package...)

Auctions. I'm looking at them and kicking myself for buying new last year (paid over $30k all said and done), auctions are A LOT cheaper.

Yeah, but auctions (at least here in Florida) for the most part require a dealers license. Not hard to get, just extra hassle and expense.

As for the Accord, I'm thinking the sunroof was an option on the LX-V6, as are the alloy wheels. I saw a number of LX-V6s on carmax with and without sunroofs and alloy wheels.

From Honda's website on the 2007 Accord LX-V6:

With a 244-hp, 3.0-liter, VTEC® V-6 engine, the Accord LX V-6 Sedan has one of the most powerful engines around. In addition to the standard features of the 4-cylinder LX Sedan, it includes 4-wheel disc brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), 17-inch alloy wheels, an AM/FM 6-disc in-dash changer, a power moonroof with tilt feature and a driver's seat with 8-way power adjustment.

Hope this helps.
