06 TSX HP Posibilities...

So after doing some research, primarily from Hondata's dyno sheets, it looks like the 06 compared to previous years has a lot of potential for modding. It already has about 200 hp at the wheels STOCK. With Hondata, CAI and headers, you're talking about 225+ hp at the wheels.

Thoughts?

p.s., my 06 CGP MT w/Navi arrives in a few weeks and I CAN"T WAIT!

Do all that and I'll be impressed if you break 200. Search for these mods, they don't add that much HP. And for the record, your MT will post 180HP at the wheels on a Dynojet stock.

The numbers you saw on Hondata's dyno sheets are flywheel horsepower, not wheel horsepower.

In terms of power, your best bet right now is Hondata. The CAI doesn't seem to add a whole lot of power on the 06 because the new breathing adjustments have improved the stock system that much. Haven't seen any dyno numbers for headers yet, so we'll have to see. And the exhaust system does not seem to be a performance part on this car, more an aesthetic thing.

You could also consider doing an intake manifold gasket. This helps reduce heat soak from from the block transferring to the intake manifold and heating up the intake charge. Should be good for a couple hp.

looking at the graphs, the hondata only does a little bit for the peak hp, it just fills in the big gaps between 5000-6500 rpm. The car will no doubt be a lot faster, but peak hp measure on a dyno will probably only be up maybe 3-4.
