'05 TSX - 84k - stick - $??

I'm in the process of selling my '06 TSX (auto, 31.7k, dark blue). I want something with lower payments, so it has to go.

Accidentally found a stick, 05' TSX, black on black, but with whopping 84k miles on it.

It was a trade-in at a local BMW dealer and I found it through eBay. They're not even listing it under their used inventory (why?).

I'd love to own another TSX if the price is right and have always wanted a stick.

What do you think is a good bargaining price for this car?

Also, another weird piece of information. Last record CarFax found is from 2005 when the car was sold. I find that rather weird (no state inspections, change of title records, etc.) Is that normal?

Thanks.

Don't know what rates you have, but have you thought about refinancing your current loan?

Just another option on the table.

My opinion, 9k-11k. But, check edmunds and KBB.

In normal times, you would not likely gain much more than $7,000 going from a '06 with 32k miles to an '05 with 84k miles; $10,000 difference in value - $3,000 dealer margin = $7,000. But, these are not normal times. As you already know, you would do better with a private sale -- if the car was in good condition.

TSXFL: Listing at $17,800. Will to drop to $17,000 as lowest price if need be. Paid the car off with savings so I can have the Title on hand to make the sale faster. But now, waiting for the Title is unbearable! Paperwork takes way to long.

I'm not really interested in refinancing right now. I was actually browsing eBay Motors for a good beater (oxymoron?) car. Looking to spend <$5k and save up through the hard times in this economy. But if I can talk that dealer into a <$10k deal, I'd love to stay in the TSX club. Wonderful car.

Try selling your car first or keep the car since it is now paid off and you know how it was maintained. The payments that you used to pay on the car put in savings.
