05 TL as loaner

Very nice.. V6 is nice... but still like the TSX better. For the price of the TL other cars out there have more to offer in my opinion. TL doesn't have the same feel as TSX and figured it would make up with sport/comfort but it really doesn't.

It's a smart move. Get owners to try their more expensive brands and get you hooked. Other dealers do that as well sometimes (Volvo, BMW, etc)...

This was Bridgewater Acura in NJ.

I had a loner about a week ago and my dealer put me in an '05 MDX.... It was fully loaded with all the toys. I was hooked on it by the time I turned it in. Next time I am in the market for an SUV I will definatly take a look at the MDX.

I think its a great Idea to use better high end cars as loaners to get you thinking about your next purchase

I agree. I'd like to know what other car has the same package of power, convenience, features, fit and finish as the TL for about $30K-$33K.

It's not Radley, I'll tell you that much...

Bastards stiffed me on a loaner I requested two weeks in advance because some asswipe in front of me was whining they were taking too long to work on his car...

there are 2 dealerships here, sivlerhill which gets awards, and i fight with contantly becuase they are peices of shit. they do not offer loaners without like a month notice. the northwest dealership, is far, but far nicer and good service only offer new EL's but with 1 day notice.
and its funny cuz i had fun driving a auto EL for a couple days. low power, kinda sporty because of the size, comfrtable. a nice economy car. and when i got my TSX back i was soooo happy.

Can't disagree with the value factor, just wasn't that impressed. I just assumed it would be so much better then TSX and didn't feel that way. I have been just a bit dissapointed with fit/finish items with Acura so far. Even the TL has squeaks and rattles with a couple hundred miles on it. My other car is a Volvo which I figured would have more issues and it appears my TSX is more annoying with these items. I bought the TSX as a no brainer car, fun to drive, looks good and just put gas and go. So when I had a chance to drive TL, I just didn't look at it the same and noticed similiar issues. Just feel drivetrain is solid on Acura/Honda , fit/finish/quality of interior parts used - needs some help. Service has been good for me so far, sales was a joke compared to other auto companies, it was like every dealer around me hired these slick idiots that would make crap up to influence the sale.

If I could have afforded $30-33k, I'd be driving a G35C 6-Speed. Might've even considered a G35x. I couldn't, so I bought the TSX. Doesn't matter, I love the TSX, but that G35C sure was nice.

I just got a 05 TL Auto loaner this mourning too, and I'd have to agree, I miss my TSX already. Yes it has more HP, but you can feel the torque steer almost right away, even without pushing it. Also I'd say the interior isn't as nice, way to "busy" but that's a personal preference, not that the interior is bad, but my brother has an 04 Accord, you can you really tell that the two cars are the same, though the TL does a good job of masking that.

Are you guys using Radley or Karen Radley? So far KR has been pretty good on hooking me up with a loaner.

Might be suicide, but imagine if Acura gave RL for loaner cars...

I had a TL loaner & the damn thing tried to kill me!

Apparently, there's a problem with the rims on the TL and extreme temperatures (heat or cold). What happens is the rim slips on the tire, it loses it's bead and the tire seperates from the rim! In speaking with the Acura folk, they've informed me that this is not uncommon and they've had it happen to several of their cars! In doing some searching around the net, I've discovered that this is also a problem on the 2005 RSX's as well.

Long story short (too late), I had the TL loaner when it was around -50 Celcius and on the way to the dealership (to take the car back) at some point the tire came off the rim! Honestly, I didn't really notice (the car was pulling a little to the right but the roads are covered in ice ruts) until I got back to the dealership.
