0-60 numbers now???

Someone mentioned before that the engine performs much better after it has been broken in. When I push my car, it seems like it can do a lot better than 7secs.

Has anyone tried this recently or have their own numbers?

Wow thats good. I could only manage a 3.8 with a strong head wind

Sure the times may be better, but only by a couple of tenths at best. Someone may be able to squezze a 7 second run out a 6MT with more than 10K. The TSX acceleration leaves alot to be desired IMO, its the passing power on the highway and 100km to 160km (60 to 100) speed that really impresses me.

Depends on the mods you have but 7 seconds seems to be a "magic" number.

When comptech finally comes out with a supercharger,........what else will you need for the engine? Im not some modding expert, but I would guess maybe new intake and exhaust cams, maybe new headers and exhaust? I think with not crazy boost the stock engine parts would be able to handle the power right? That would help you get under 7 sec for sure,.hahaha. I so wanna get that SC when it comes out.

Probably the same stuff as the RSX SC requires:

i have an auto 5at with like 900 miles on it. but i did drive the loaner with 8000 miles on it, and it seemed to have a little more power .

i agree though that the car isn't that fast off the line, then again its not exactly a drag racer. if my 5AT can do 0-60 in 8 seconds i think that is plenty. it seems to have plenty of power for any normal sane person.

I thought our moderator,JTso, put 6.8 on his with measurement PDA so i'm not sure how accurate that is.

I believe the only reported 5AT time is 9.1 sec. for a stock TSX. That seems high, its probably more in the 8.3-8.6 range.

JTso has so many mods I wouldn't doubt that he ran a 6.8.

Actually, JTso did 6.33 to be exact He did 2 runs back to back (VSA on/off).

I believe Johnny's 6MT has Hondata, CAI, header, free flow cat, cat back exhaust, and some lightweight 18" SSR GT2's...

Regarding the Comptech SC, I still don't really get it --- the car is what it is. A well-handling, well-balanced, sporty sedan. Sure, I'd love more acceleration, but not for $4-5k more, not including installation. For that much more, I'd rather go buy a different vehicle. Not criticizing or anything... I just think that for the money, it can be better spent somewhere else.

Add a modified (larger diameter) throttle body to that list (I think).

Yeah, when I got the TSX I didn't plan on having a fast car. If I wanted something fast I would've picked up an Evo or STi. However one thing I do agree on is this car is very well balanced for a sedan and if it did have the power to run 5 second 0-60's then that'll be awesome and worth $4-5K. But that won't be for a while.

God invented nitrous oxide for a reason, and not just for parties like we're all used to. And to those who would cringe at the thought of a nitrous system helping destroy the engine I wave goodbye to you as I fly at mach 6...... right back to the maintenance department at my dealership for an engine rebuild. YA NOS!
