i got this lingering problem sitting in my garage, well 4 if you really think about it... Long story short i ordered a set of the '04 TL model wheels for my '98 3.2tl. im not sure if the deminsions are the same as factory bc these are a little different than the factory, but the deminsions are as follows :

1) 17x8"
2) 5x114.3 lug pattern
3) 64.1mm hub
4) +42mm offset

i have gotten 3 "professional" opinions...i quote professional because the one that says they will fit...is scarily the one that manufactures the wheels, and will not let me return them. The other two professional opinions come from a Discount Tire Co. and a small little dealership named HENDRICK ACURA...lol. All that said, id like to bring the question to you guys here at acurazine, who make things that places like that say wont work..work... . My question is...1, without doing any modification to anything, will the wheels fit WITH the right size tires. Discount tire said with, i believe a 225/50/17 they would rub the springs and then the sway bar when i turn. I asked about a tire size lower, i believe a 215/50/17, and he said it maaay work but i run the chance of runnin the wheel off the tire if i corner too hard. Id like to know your honest opinion, please dont tell me some way to ghettorig it, cuz thats not how i do things...if they will not fit....then they r goin to the black market! preciate it guys

 

i think you should get 225/45/17 tires just to get that 5 off the wheel rub 50 is is kinda high
