Sudden violent shaking under braking

I have a '98 3.2TL and have it up for sale. The car has been sitting idle for approx 3 months and today I decided to take it for a drive. When I last drove it there were no noticeable problems, then suddenly today the brakes are shot. They car violently shakes under braking (extremely bad when over 40mph) and I have no idea what could have happened? It seems as though I have badly warped rotors but how can that happen from sitting? The car feels like it's going to vibrate off the road when firm pedal pressure is applied!!! Any ideas of any sort would be much appreciated!!!

Do you see anything abnormal when looking at the rotors?

No, I don't notice anything abnormal looking. How hard is it to change the front rotors? Is there a DIY on here, as I can't seem to find one. Thanks!

From my experience, without seeing pics it sounds as if the rotors are warped. They shouldn't warp from sitting. It could also be the wheel bearings. If they are out they could be the cause as well but it would wobble while accelerating as well. It may be possible if the bearings are out and car sitting, the additional weight might have warped the weather but that's all I could come up with. Good luck!

Sure you do not have water on your brake fluid?

Yeah either your rotors are warped or they are too thin...you should replace them and the brakes. Make sure you inspect the calipers to see if they are sticking. I just did a full front brake job...didn't take me but a few hours but I also stopped to clean the rims.

My brakes started doing the same thing right after I changed my pads.... It doesn't shake as violently, but they started squeaking for some odd reason :/

^ Did you grease the back of the pads? Its usually recommended to do so to prevent squeaking.
