Just purchased a 98 3.2 tl and i've been reading here for about a week now and i've realized i need to replace the starter soon (morning starts= turn key one click repeat 5-25 times and it starts less problems after i have already started the car a few times that day) talked to my mechanic quoted me $580 for everything said the part was $264 for a refurb from Napa. I have been looking on ebay for cheaper new or refurbed starters just wondering if anyone has had any experience with after market starters and which ones are more reliable i remember reading somewhere about the nippon denso being a good option found one on Ebay for $120 refurbed is that a good deal any help would be appreciated guys thanks!

 

I'd have gladly paid $580 for a starter and install on my car. I got a pretty good deal on my starter, but I'll have to look up where I bought it.

$580 for a starter job is not bad. The Dr wheel has to be taken off to get to the starter.
