Sqeaking from rear wheels

Hi guys

I've noticed recently when I'm carrying passengers in the backseat, or have a heavy load in general, there's a squealing noise coming from what sounds like the rear wheel area. This pretty much only happens when I am turning, and the best way I can think of describing it would be an old camera flash recharge noise.

I do have aftermarket wheels (17x7.5/215-50tires) but have not had any rubbing issues except for the few times I've taken a steeply-angled driveway a tad too fast.

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. Thanks

here, I never seem to post pics.

hmm check out your shocks, tires, check for bad wheel bearings, look for anything out of place or broken to start

^ What he said and see if anything is loose, bushings, etc. You might want to shake your car, push the end that's making the noise down, or jack it up and shake the wheel to see if you can reproduce the sound.

I have the same problem. It's like grinding or something on mine. If you haven't already looked it up, this might help: http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b92-009.PDF

I think the noise is coming from his rear wheel area. CV axles are in the front due to front wheel drive. Grinding could be caused by your wheel bearings or brakes. If you hear a click click click while turning with the car moving, it is your cv axles. Try to turn both sides because one axle may be good while the other may not.

Thanks for the insight, it is very likely the wheel bearings or brakes like you suggested then. It only happens occasionally while making left turns and seems to come from the right rear wheel.
