I can't believe im driving back home and my engine light comes on and my engine goes to high so then my front starts to smoke. Ive noticed my my accelration has been terrible since monday and also i put the climate control on 80, the air still comes out cold. Does anyone know what may have caused this? Timing belt? My car is going to the dealership monday i hope it gets fixed soon.

The high engine temp would be a result of a cooling system failure... i.e the #1 cause of car problems... period... Could be a wide range of things, from lack of sufficient coolant, bad water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, or... as he said a bad head gasket. I would say no on the timing belt... If a timing belt breaks your engine will shut off and basically every valve will be shot to hell.
If you see smoke, there may be coolant leaking onto your motor... Pop the hood and look at the hoses to see if there are any rips or cracks... look anywhere for sticky green fluid.
The cool air problem is more than likely the result of insufficient coolant... your hot air is supplied by the "heater core" which uses the hot coolant to warm the air blowing through your vents....
My guess what happend... your radiator, or radiator hose is cracked, you lost a lot of fluid, causing your motor to overheat, the fluid spilling onto your hot engine would cause smoke, and the lack of anti-freeze would cause your heater to blow cold air....
Good luck with it!! It seems like a nightmare, but you may have a 30 buck fix on your hands... make sure to always check coolant levels and keep an eye on your temp gauge.

Exactly.
The reason our fans are turned on so often is to help prevent a blown head gasket.
Stay on top of coolant flushes and checking on the radiator and you'll be fine.

my ass found out the hard way. I never flushed my radiator since i bought it. It finally busted at 103k miles. I paid 400 bucks to get it fixed (that includes the towing fee). Please flush your shit! no pun intended.

Nope it turns out my radiator got melted on to my engine. So they have to get the part which should be coming today and they have to determine what causes my radiator to melt into my engine. Pretty messed up I don't know how this happened?
