I have a problem my oil leak just under my oil filter(5inch)... do know the problem?
and I have a 97 2.5 T.L

If you're sure the oil leak is coming from the oil filter there are three possibilities; the oil filter body, oil filter seal, or the oil filter mount/engine seal (usually an oring) is leaking. Most mounts have two bolts holding the mount to the engine block. Not unheard of for either filter or mount bracket to leak.

I find the problem! it's the pressure switch... I was tough to find the problem..but its good.. only 20$ for the switch

 

i had a similar problem but it was the seal behind the oil filter bracket.. 8 bucks and fixed my problem.. was leaking for a year because it was mis diagnosed by a mechanic that said it was my O ring seal where the shaft goes through.
