Please help! Power steering problem maybe. noise goes away when I turn

So my car started making this loud whinning/squelling noise. It sounds kinda like "eeEEEeEEeeeNnNNNnnnNGgGGggGHhHHhHHH" But when I turn the wheel all the way to the left, or to the right it goes away. I can drive for awhile, then it comes back. I stop, turn all the way to the left or right, and it goes away again. my power steering fluid level look good. please advise

I'm guessing, that your CV joints are the problem.

I just had my axles replaced a few months ago. The noise is still there even when I am not rolling. Like it starts making the noise while I'm driving, but its still there even when I stop. It only goes away when I turn the wheel completely left or right. sometimes the noise goes away all day, some times it only goes away for 5 secs.

The bearing inside the power steering pump itself is going out I just dealt with this problem and it's something I don't suggest doing yourself. First is the steering rack (rack and pinnion) leaking? That could be one fault. Then it's either the tension on the power steering belt or the power steering pump going out. They're a bit@# because the tension on the belt has to be right so that there won't be anymore problems. I paid an import specialist $310 for a new pump with warranty so this is pricey. Check the o-ring on the feeder hose on top of the pump also and check the hose going to the resivoir "sorry not sure how to spell that".
