painting my wipers
I typically use satin black instead of flat black. Lasts longer, and looks more factory original.
Just a quick cleaning, maybe a light sanding, then very important - use a paint "degreaser" and wipe them down first. Adhesion is really good then.
Oh, and take them off the car and remove the blades...

I've gotta do this too, might do it this week actually.
If not, copy, you up to add that to our list? Haha, seems like there are quite a few things us rhode islanders have to get done.

I was going to take mine off and paint so I could just spray them instead, since I find spraying easier.

Best way to refinish your METAL wiper arms is to remove the arm assembly lightly sand the old paint off... use a 1000 grit and wipe the the arm down with Solvent Cleaner (this is the name of it go to an auto paint store and ask for it) clean the arm down and use a spray paint flat, semi-gloss, or what ever you like and hit the arms with the paint let the paint dry until it is kind of sticky and give them another shot of paint to seal them up good. let them dry about six to eight hours and there you go brand new wipers OEM baby!
