I'll let you "knoe". It's can be as much as $2000, down to $500. Installing it will run about another $2000 from a shop.

Write smaller and not in red. Red text on a forum means sarcasm.

It will also depend on model 2.5TL or 3.2TL. Check car-part.com for used engine prices. Find a used engine installer that will insure the engine and his labor.

good luck

I just had a mechanic replace my engine (1996 2.5 TL).
You can get a used engine for about $1,000 and the labor was a little over $1,000.

^ I got a quote from a shop to do mine and it was $2300 labour with a discount. I ended up doing it myself.

if u have done a swap before and u are doing a direct swap of the same engine... it shouldn't be hard for you...

It doesn't look like a terrible job, but I was unsure about how to remove the extension shaft. The manual calls for a special puller which I could not locate. How is this step managed?
