The universal one will work. You will have to soldier 3 wires for the universal one. It's pretty easy to do.
How many miles are on your car? These cars are covered under emissions warranty for up to 150k miles. If you have less than 150k miles, then the dealer will repair it for free. I got mine done for free at 142k.

Auto Zone pulled a P0135 code, bank 1 02 sensor. I called the dealer, and my car ('97 TL) is under the extended emissions warranty, HOWEVER, they said if they put it on the diagnostic machine and it shows something else, it'll cost me $125 just for the diagnostic. Pretty pricey for something Auto Zone does for free! Wonder what the odds are of it showing something else? Should I take the chance?

O2 Sensor, P0700 and P1794 repair costs
Will the dealer cover the O2 sensor replacement if this is not the original owner?
Any estimate on cost to solve what's causing the Transmission Control System Malfunction and Automatic Transaxle error codes? major or minor cost is what I need to know. Thanks
