Hey guys, my 96 2.5TL is not giving me any codes, the OBD scanner just reads "no link". the car is stalling badly but starts right back up, and of course stalls again! and takes way long to accel. cel is on also. any ideas? besides trading it in for a REAL HONDA!

 

I would try another scanner first. Some scanners work better than others. Also the connector itself can be problematic. Also, I would reset the ECU first by pulling the BackUp fuse for 20 secs.

Next, I would obtain the Obd1 codes by shorting the service check connector under the glove box (blue 2-wire connector). These codes are flashed w/ long flash for tens and short flash for units. A 5-sec pause separates multiple codes (F-ffff=14). This should provide the equivalent Honda code which can be used same as the Obd2 code.
