why does my actron scan tool that reads obd 1 and 2 say's error trying to connect and my transmission is also locking does this have something to do with a electrical problem and if so could someone kindly help me out.

 

What car do you have?

My first thought would be to get a new scantool. Have you checked on another OBD2 vehicle? I've never had any OBD2 problems w/ my 97 2.5TL. Plenty of problems, but not that one.
