Is the CEL on? I'm having a similar problem right now and I'm getting a code for the primary upstream air/fuel oxygen sensor.

Will it stay running if you hold the throttle slightly?

A quick way to check is to turn the key to the start position and as the starter begins to engage, let go of the key so that it springs back into the "ON" position. The dash lights such as battery, oil, srs, etc should still be lit. You can also try to wiggle the key while the car is running to see if it'll turn off.

You were right bro, it was the ignition switch, got it from carquest auto parts for $39, there is a video on youtube on how to replace it but it is for 94-97 accord, it is pretty similar to the TL, the only difference is that to remove those two stupid bolts you don't have that much space, see link

would a bad ignition switch cause the TL to lagg when it starts up? ex: having key on 3rd position and no start?

That could happen, and it could also be bad starter because that has happen to me before.

That sounds more like the starter.

Open the hood, see if u can hit the starter couple of times and try to start ur car, if it works than you will have to replace the starter, my problem was different than yours.

TL starts but then just dies (even if giving it gas). No spark...does anyone know how to test the coil and/or ignitor?

Well...after 200 miles and a couple of days...FAIL!!!! Stalled again. And now I have multiple random cylinder misfire detected!

It was not the Ignition Switch.

Where to now?

I have heard form a friend who has a Legend, guess what he keeps 2 sets of Main relays in his car, in case he’s let down. That’s too funny. I guess the issues spilled over to our TL’s. It was not the Ignition Switch after all. The old one was still near perfect condition. The new aftermarket one is in right now.
