JDM Tail upgrade
JDM Tail upgrade
Recently purchased JDM tails for my 96 3.2TL. Installed them, but having 1 little issue, all the lights (reverse, signal, tail light) work except for the brake light on the passenger side when brake is applied. Ruled out the brake switch because driver & 3rd brake light work when the brake is applied. Not sure what the problem is, bulbs are brand new. I tried to replicate the problem by swapping the harnesses from passenger to driver, & driver to passenger, the result was the same, the passenger brake light still did not work. So I assume its an issue with the plug coming from the car, not the plug to the bulbs. Any ideas here or if there's is additional wiring needed for JDM tails, or I have a short somewhere? Thanks in advance.
Change out your JDM wiring harness to the USDM wiring harness. It has something to do with the black box that is on the right side of your JDM tails. Put the USDM box on the left side and you should be good.
