Great info! I will have to try that soon as I will be ordering Xenon Krypton Blue headlight bulbs. Removing the yellow fog light lens will mean that I won't see a ugly green color with my fog lights activated.

But one question, does anyone know if it is possible to get different colored fog light lens covers? Wouldn't mind blue ones to match my headlight bulbs.

I'm new here and i did the fog light thing with taking of the condom looking thing off the fog lights. Well i got some blue ones in my 1st generation Acura which are H3 for the fogs and H4 for the headlights... anyways to answer this question i found this site... i'm not sure if i should post w/o permission from one of the moderators/admin. of the forums but here it is anyways since it might help some other TL'ers... just click here...

when you have the yellow glass out, push up on it, its a spring, and twist, it should come right out

Can u be more specific, because I am still not getting this. I have the ends for the fog lights out and do I push on it from the inside, the side or where and where's this spring. I am probably over thinking this or something.

ok here are some pic, sorry for it being so blurry.

ok so where do i go from there, do i push through the little hole or around it or something???????

for some reason those don't look like fog lights to me... hmmm... they kinda look like parking lights that are next to the bumper marker lights... ... ... anyways... if you really want to know were the fogs are... they are the yellow part of the headlight... the round things that look like dome lights... well you can access those from the engin compartment... nothing to do with the bumper...lol... FYI though...

Isn't making mistakes learning... sooo... what is this forum really about??? to learn from other people and meet them since they have the same intrests as you... hmmm... ... you can buy the clear bumper lights in a couple of places... the response i usually get when i ask... "Where can i get... ...?" is... EBAY!!!... but there are other places... like this sites store has them...

I recently had my headlights replaced due to a little fender bender ($6,700 damage = don't ever let your roommate borrow your car) and they gave me ones without the yellow fogs.

Personally I thought that the yellow fogs looked particularly nice on a black TL but now that I see it without them, it looks A LOT better when they are clear.

Apparently the bodyshop used the same type of bulb for both the fogs and the headlights, because they were missing one and took the bulb out of one of the fogs to use for the headlight so I could take my car home that day and just bring it back when they got the bulb. I was surprised because I thought the bulbs for the fogs were different from the headlights, but who knows.

Personally, I think the yellow covers make our car's. I have to say when I bought my car after playing around with every little gadget and feature on the car; the fact that the fog lights WERE yellow was the most exciting thing. The look at night when you have blue headlights and deep amber fogs is bad ass! It makes our cars stand out and I can guarantee you I will never remove my covers!

Copy, I thought you had a 2.5? Guess it's the 3.2, so I really couldn't tell you. It actually seems pretty easy to do on the 2.5

4. Look inside the foglight housing. You’ll see 2 philips screws, one on the top, and one on the bottom. Remove the bottom screw and loosen the top screw. If you take out the top screw it will be a pain to get back in.

5. Pull out the whole foglight assembly.

6. Twist off the yellow cover.

7. Re-install. Done! Good luck!

pics of this step by step would have been awesome cause the way mine look u gotta take off the whole headlight and then do it. tehres no room to move in there!

The new headlights I had didn't come with yellow covers, so when I swapped headlights, I transfered the yellow covers over to my new headlights. Problem is one of them turned out to be busted, explaining why one was slightly brighter! Anyone have any yellow cover they can part with? I need one!

I just took mine out. If you still want it (it's been 2 months), you can have one. Just pay for shipping.

You find someone that's selling and buy it from them. That's pretty much it. No ordering from the dealer anymore, IIRC.
