Instructions to remove yellow foglight covers

1. Unplug the bulbs. You have to squeeze the little tabs on the plug and then pull it off.

2. Remove rubber weatherseals.

3. Remove the bulbs. Look closely and you’ll see how they come off. Its easy.

4. Look inside the foglight housing. You’ll see 2 philips screws, one on the top, and one on the bottom. Remove the bottom screw and loosen the top screw. If you take out the top screw it will be a pain to get back in.

5. Pull out the whole foglight assembly.

6. Twist off the yellow cover.

7. Re-install. Done! Good luck!

This is for information only and IS NOT to be used for any purposes other than described.

There’s 2 screws around where the bulb goes in. You need to take off the rubber weatherseal to see them.

Order it. :p

Just kidding. www.value-caraudio.com Its made by Value Sports. Cost me $500 for the wing, $90 to ship, and $400 to paint & install. :wow:

By far the phatest wing around for our TLs. Now if I see a pic of my car without it I hate it.

Where did you get aftermarket lenses? I assume you mean the Inspire tails from Japan?

Anyway, to take out the amber chamber is VERY VERY hard. You need to open the tailights by heating up the seals (its epoxy) with a heat gun and prying them apart. Be very careful while doing this, especially on the one fragile bottom corner that faces the quarter panel. I posted long instructions on this site. Just do a few searches. I’m warning you though, its very easy to break them. Do this at your own risk.

96TL yes my friend you are right indeed.. I now recall that long instruction posting, you put up quite sometime ago. I think I will just break the amber piece internally, since I took it off the clip holder and then just shake out the peices, rather than mess with the seals.. I don't want the risk of water penetration.. Thanks.. and yes the are the inspire lights..

You can get the Inspire Tail lights on ebay or overseas. Or here on acura-tl.com. I bought mine on ebay, and then you have to use a tool to get the yellow circle out. Really easy to do. Also, look on ebay for the front clears. Thats where i bought mine.
