Hello Fellow Acura owners.

I love and take pride in my 1997 Acura TL 3.2 sedan, and recently i've been desperately searching for an interior part I CANT FIND anywhere.
To specify the part that i am looking for its the Vent plastic thing on the dash.

(1 piece part for the driver side and center vent w/emergence lights and clock, and the passenger side vent is a individual piece. with the total of 2 parts i need.)

I've called many many Japanese used/new auto parts, junk yards trying to look for this part in my Toronto area. No luck.
I have also went to ACURA DEALERS and the part was going for 500$+ plus tax. Thats just for the 1 piece part (DRIVER side vent/CENTER vent)
the passenger VENT is discontinued wont be able to get.
I am willing to pay for the 500$+ (NEW) just to make my ACURA whole again, but then again i am missing the passenger side VENT.

PLEASE I need Help looking for these Parts anyone know where i can find or take from a salvage 1996-1998 3.2 TL any where near TORONTO would make my ACURA life happy. If I am not able to find these parts i am willing to sell my car for less then nothing.

BTW_ My TL is Black on Black interior.

Can you post the picture of parts you looking for? I saw one car in yunk yard last month.

 

You are looking for the big dash piece that is on the gauges, clock, and a/c vents. I picked mine up at a salvage yard for $35.

Yes that is the part i need also the passenger vent aswell. where did u find it?

 

I found both of mine at a salvage yard in my area.

I broke that big dash piece that you need last year. So it cost me $35 to replace it. Then the other vent well that was "borrowed"

 

thanks guys for the help now i need is to put them on.
i have but one more question to ask. Anyone here knows any SKILLED WELL TRUSTED mechanic shops here in Toronto, that i can go to for any-other problems i need for my car to get fixed up?

I soon promise to come back and take pics of my beloved Stock TL.
Hopefully after am done the first step and cleaning my car up i can start MOD'n SOON! lol i am most likely gonna need more help then.

^^^^^ true.. lol... I think if they made clear tail lights and all that other cheap crap at autozone for the 1st gen they would be looking like the cars on the WTF car of the day thread.. lol... Thats awsome they dont make any of that crap for the 1st gens lol...

 

yeah our car is unpopular . most people that ask me what car i drive, i tell them the 1g tl and they go huh? most people only know the 2g and up . thats what makes the car nice though . nobody has it

HAH. that happened to me to . i drove my car to the shop at the school to chekc out my starter problem and some of the students were like nice legend . i was like :shakehead

 

^^^^ hahaha yeah ive had the same problem.. Some new ppl in my autobody class asked me that to lol "dam thats a nice legend" lol.. Also what makes the 1st gens unique is that are motors are staright not sideways and for the 2.5 they have a str8 5.. lol When i took my car out after i was done putting it together NO ONE belived me my 2.5 had a 5 in it.. Soo i bet them cash that i had a 5 so i opened my hood and i came up on 50 buckz.. lol

 

meter foot if you need anything else from a 3.2tl black in color tell me quick i have one with pretty much gutted interior, but still some parts doors are perfect etc, bumpter trunk lid what ever is needed
