I have a 97 3.2 Tl -

I want to take off the front seats to really give the carpet a good shampoo / steam cleaning. Was wondering how tough it is to remove the seats.

Anybody tried to do this before - anybody with some instructions to do this?

It's a - Premium Package (Heated Seats) and both driver and passenger auto seats - will that be a problem?

 

I looked in my 97 2.5TL manual and it doesn't look too bad. Yours should be quite similar.

1) Pull seat full forward, remove track rear end covers and remove hold-down bolts.
2) Slide seat full rearward, remove track front end covers, and remove hold-down bolts.
3) Access and release electrical connnections
4) Carefully remove seat through door.

Yours may be different and an Acura shop manual may be a good investment to insure no problems.

i to am going to do this soon as im getting a new front seat. the leather on my front seat is getting the "white" cracks in it so....... time for a new seat. $150 from the trash yard. well see what it looks like soon!

 

i just went to see how easy it would be to get the end covers off..... how do u get them off?!!??!!??!! there on there good!

 

On most I have seen they pry off. You need shop manual for your vehicle for details like this.
