Angry help! caliper issue

I replaced the rear right caliper due to it being locked. I also replaced the rear left. Same issue. The left side went on without a ghitch. The right side is still locked.

I bled the brakes, replaced the pads and caliper. Not in that order. But I have to force the right caliper over the pads. Is there something I'm missing? Or did I just get a bad caliper?

Did you get the right caliper and pads?

Pretty certain... exact copies of the ones that came out. Though the one on the right came from Oreilly's, and the one on the left came from Autozone. Different between some brand I can't remember offhand and Duralast.

I put everything back as it came. I bled the brakes. I have very little brake pedal now and no e-brake whatsoever. X_X

I'm going to have to bleed the brakes after work tomorrow. Again. Then Tuesday have a friend look at the right caliper and see wtf is up with it. :/

On the other hand....the tranny 'flush' and oil change have awarded great awesomeness. No jump on shift whatsoever. Smoother than greased lightning.

You may have a bad line going to the caliper. Also the module may be bad.

What module? ABS module? Already know my ABS module is bad. I took the fuse out so I wouldn't have to listen to it choking on its own bile. :>

Apparently I missed the installation of the crush washers on the brake line. I've never heard of such a thing and replaced many calipers and experienced no leaks on said calipers with no crush washers. It brakes now.

Wow

So it was only a washer that was causing the caliper to not brake? Wooowwwww

Well, the washer was keeping the system open so air was getting in the lines...causing the fluid to leak out, causing the car not to brake. So yeah. $0.30 part.

That sucks.

Now I don't want to make you kick yourself anymore but you should think of upgrading front to the Legend dual piston calipers and rotors. Many have done it and said they feel a big difference when they stop.

I replaced the rear calipers. When I replace all of the rotors, I'll be doing that same bolt on upgrade. :p

Um. Question.

One Midas said that I had a caliper catching "locked".
The new caliper does the same damned thing. One side isn't, one side is.
The other Midas said that there's 'supposed' to be a 'little' bit of drag. ... Who's telling the truth?
