Have you checked the harness underneath? It's possible that something either dislodged it or cut the wire, especially if you put things under the seat.

check the gen 2 thread, fixed seat heat for $3

under the seat cover is what looks like an old electric blanket -the kind with with wires sewn into it.
One of the wire leads in the butt area has gotten broken, often where a mans wallet will exert more pressure in one spot on the seat

Remove seat- remove seat cover- access wire- cut out bad section- splice in new,
replace seat cover

Tried to look for the info in second gen thread, could not find it maby I just missed it not sure. It doesent sound like too hard a job but that info would be much more helpful to try and deal with this.

whats up guys, i got a 97 tl 2.5 premium (no heated seats) just had back seats and armrest re-upholstered, but waited on the front. i was gonna order the real leather replacement covers off ebay and put them on the front.. so my question is would it be possible to make both my front seats heated and give it the stock appearance.. order the heated seat on/off from a 3.2 on ebay and retrofit into my center console? or my storage area under my armrest?

Kam- check the owner book- Im not certain on your year
BUT-
the passenger seat on gen2 has butt heat only- no low back- due to side airbag and sensors in the seatback that would be disturbed by the heat

check the DIY section in gen2 or use search for `Fixed seat heat`
for the full pic thread with great directions

Mainly - disconnect battery!!! mark the 2 connection wires under the seat as a and b- dont want to mess up when reinstall and they will fit each other--stupid~

andrew- you would need the inner fiber/fabric seat covers that go over the foam but under the leather
that contain sthe actual wire heater elements sewn into it- it really is like an old electric blanket!!
those are very $$$$ new
When the dealer wanted $750 to replace the entire heat cover- a ziner went in with a few tools and figured out what the prob and fix is
3 bucks covers a piece of wire- solder- shrink wrap- electrical tape

always consult the local auto dismantling and recyling- formerly called junkyards
They know what years fit into other cars- can mix and match to get you all the things you will need

Stock setup has overtemp limit switches built in- I dont know the details- just what info is in the diy

Heated Seat Pad Replacement

I have repaired my driver side heated seat pad three times on a 2003 TL. It keeps failing, so I want to replace the seat pad.
Any suggestions on where to get a quality replacement pad other than at the Acura dealership?
Thanks

Because leather gets really cold during winter, just like it gets really hot during summer.

There are supposed to be two switches on the center console next to the shifter.

~Cheers~
