I recently had all 6 spark plugs replaced by a certified mechanic when my CEL and VSA light came on last time (Some cylinders were misfiring). It has been a month or so since the new spark plugs have been replaced so I know this is not a spark plug issue, the lights have not gone on after 3 trips.

When I started up my car this morning, the CEL and VSA lights came back on again. As I put the gear to R, the engine seems like it's about to stall but slowly regains power. Same thing happens when I put the gear back to D. I took the car to an Acura dealer and they said it could be the coils on the spark plugs? I'm not sure what that means but someone fill me in. Thanks.

P.S - If it is the coil issue, I heard the fix could cost hundreds and hundreds D:

 

Get the CEL codes and post them. Don't take their word for the codes. Liklihood of all the coils failing simultaneously is near zero. More likely another fault.
