Had some problems with EGR valve before so bought a new one. Few hours later driving around and the check engine light comes back on due to insufficient air flow. What next?

 

If this was same code you had before you replaced the EGR valve, the problem could be blocked EGR manifold and tubes. Whether 3.2 or 2.5 TL, both have EGR manifold/port blockage w/ time. A search will produce procedures for both I believe.

How much did you pay for the EGR? All the new ones I find are over $300.

 

Definitely the tube. EGR valves don't go bad that often, but the tube that leads back to the manifold tends to get clogged. I posted pictures of a manifold I cleaned up, do a search for "Type II" posted by me.

Quite an elaborate DIY, simple but a lot of work. Acura charges $385 to get it done, at least that's the quote I got. 2 hours of work they said.

 

Well i got one for $195 and paid $125 for it to be put on and everything is good. Thanks.
