Creaking noise when turning

Creaking noise when turning
Just bought a 1996 Acura TL 2.5 with 200,000 miles and there is a really annoying creaking noise coming from the front end. The car does this while turning the steering wheel left or right the slightest bit. Sounds like a rusty door hinge. Definitely not a wine or squeaky belt as it does it when the car is turned off too. It also does it when bouncing on either side of the front suspension or hitting a tiny bump. I tried jacking up both sides of the car, and the noise when turning the steering wheel virtually disappeared. Though it can still be heard very faintly, it’s hard to find the source. Does not sound like it is coming from a ball joint or tie rod, it sounds like it’s coming from the middle of the car maybe the rack and pinion..? Would a bad rack also cause the creaking when bouncing on it too, or would that be something else? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated as there’s not to much on google about the first gen TL’s.
Thanks

You need to have the suspension under load, so try either putting the jack stands under the control arms or put the front end up on ramps and then try listening for the noise. It's probably a rubber-on-rubber squeak
