Cooling system

I have a 96TL with about 191K miles on it. Been a good car with few problems till recently. I've been having a problem with my cooling system. I've noted anywhere from a few drops of antifreeze to an oz or so after I've drove around a while. However, I'm having to top off my radiator every day before I go anywhere and its more than what I'm finding on the ground. Perhaps, its being dumped while I'm driving, or not, I'm not certain. Once I drive my vehicle at operating temperature for approximately 20-30mins or do a lot of start and stop driving my internal temp gauge will sometimes just take off up to hot. Sometimes I can counteract it by running my car at a faster speed to which my temp will get back into range and even stay there after I slow down again. So far, I've replaced my radiator cap, my bottom and top hoses and my thermostat and of course my coolant. I'm also smelling a burnt rubber smell from under the hood which is likely related. I have a few ideas but thought I'd throw that out there.

1. Find where the coolant leak is coming from.
2. The "radiator boiling" sound you described in your other thread is a result of a #1.
3. An unclosed cooling system will give off coolant as "boiling" hissing sounds as in #2.
4. The smell you are smelling is supporting evidence of what you have discovered in #3.
5. Continued driving with insufficient coolant will cause temp rise, especially in slow traffic.
6. Fixing #1 will most likely cure #2-5 and will save you the repair of a blown head gasket.
