Cdped= Crapped

So my Cd player has finally crapped out, and Im not going to pay 300 bucks to fix it.
Im thinking of buying an MP3 player and an FM transmitter.
Do these work okay? Does it have that full rich sound of the CD player??
Im sure some of you techno bucks must have seen or at least heard these.
How bout some feedback?
Thanks

I get that error sometimes with burned CDs.... if you put in the CD and immediately press the next track button a few times so that it starts on something other than 01, it catches.. this doesn't work everytime so you have to play with it, but it does work.

I have an iPod mini and an Airplay FM transmitter, just for the record. The sound on mine is not nearly as rich as the CD player. There is some radio "static" that affects the loudness of the sound and the low tones are bad. I could probably play with the bass and treble and get a better sound, but this is what I get with just plug 'n' play. Maybe other MP3 players and FM combos might sound better, but that's what mine sounds like.
