Alternator removal.

Some helpful advise to anyone atempting to remove the alternator on the 3.2TL.
The service manual makes a difficult job seem easy. Just removing the two front mounting bolts, then rotating the alternator 90 degree's and pulling forward to disconnect the wiring just doesn't do it. It is almost impossible to remove by just following those instructions. Your life and nuckles will be much better if you remove the battery tray (four screws) and also the top alternator mounting bracket. Remove the two front alternator mounting bolts first, remover the belt, move the alternator down then remove the top bracket bolts (3 on the side and one up front) and then the bracket. There's a lot more space to work in.

For 3.2 the driver side wheel has to come off, to get to the alternator.
